Days Out from Secinaro for FAMILY/KIDS
Try one of our suggestions below:
Buy them a Remote Control Boat from
the Model Shop in Rocca Di Mezzo and
take them up to the Chalet Sirente for
a Picnic and hours of fun!
The Outdoor Pool in Corfinio is a great
Family Place for a morning/afternoon.
It is well run and clean with a good
mix of music (Italian/English).
Now with Kamakasi Slide for the older
children.
Note: You will need to wear a Bathing Cap in the pool - male
or female! (if you don’t have one, you can buy one from the
office otherwise you won’t be allowed in the pool)
The Grotte Di Stiffe Caves combined
with a Picnic (or even a swim) at Lago
Di Snizza - across the other side of the
main road - is a great family day out!
We had our picnic at Lago Di Snizza
and then a nice Cappuccino at the
Visitor Centre (With Toilets) as we
waited for the next tour. Beautifully
decorated during the Christmas period.
Canoeing & Kayaks
Beautiful river at the other side of
Popoli, with Indian Style Canoes so you
don’t even need to get wet.
Boat Hire/Bicycles at Lago Di
Scanno …. You can hire Boats and
Bicycles (Including 2 or 4 Seaters).
You can easily lap round the lake
on your bicycle and it has plenty of
perfect picnic spots.
We had a fantastic couple of hours fun with 2 per Canoe plus
our English speaking guide! Good organisation and safety with
life jackets & waterproof bag provided by Il Bosso.
You might even enjoy the scary ride in the car to get there on
the narrow roads with hidden bends - unless you are the driver
of course! You can easily lap round the lake and it has
plenty of perfect picnic spots.
Aielli (Near to Celano)
A short trip to the most picturesque village in abruzzo is well
worth it for families and children. Have fun ticking off the
Murals on your map which, if it is open, you can pick up at the
kiosk before you wander around.
